Kasprowa Valley

Kasprowa Valley – a valley in the Western Tatra Mountains, a branch of the Bystra Valley in its lower section. In its upper section, the Kasprowa Valley is divided into the Stare Szałasiska Valley and the Sucha Kasprowa Valley.

The valley includes Kasprowy Stawek and Kasprowe Wywierzysko. The valley is characterized by a variety of rocks, including limestone and sandstone, as well as numerous caves. Currently, the Kasprowa Valley is a strictly protected area, closed to tourists, covered with upper montane spruce forest and dwarf pine. In the past, iron ore mines operated here.
