It is located in the Łamana Skała Range between Groń Jana Pawła II (885 m a.s.l.), from which it is separated by the Midowicz Pass, and Góra Potrójna (847 m a.s.l.), from which it is separated by the Beskidek Pass. Leskowiec’s northwestern slopes descend to the village of Rzyki, its eastern slopes descend to Tarnawa Górna, and its southern slopes descend to Targoszów. At the top of Leskowiec lies a former shepherd’s glade, offering a sweeping view of the Wyspowy Beskid, the Makowski Beskid Mountains, the Gorce Mountains, the Western Tatras, and the Żywiec-Orava Beskid Mountains, dominated by Babia Góra and Pilsko Mountains. On clear days, you can also see Great Chocz Mountain in Slovakia. The slopes of Leskowiec are covered with a mixed forest dominated by beech and spruce.
Between Leskowiec and Groń Jana Pawła II, the Leskowiec PTTK Mountain Shelter is located, where the main trails of the Beskid Mały Mountains intersect.
At the summit, the red-marked Mały Beskidzki Trail (Little Beskid Trail) Bielsko-Biała – Luboń Wielki and the yellow-marked Targoszów Wieczorki – Czartak hiking trail intersect.
