Starorobociańska Pass

Starorobociańska Pass (Raczkowa Pass) – a pass at an altitude of 1958 m a.s.l. in the Western Tatra Mountains. It is located in the main ridge of the Tatras, separating Kończysty Wierch from Starorobociański Wierch. The southern slopes descend into the Zadnia Raczkowa Valley, while the northern slopes descend steeply into the glacial cirque of the Starorobociańska Valley.

The pass is composed of crystalline rocks covered with low alpine grass with matgrass and scutellaria, whose russet shoots stain the slopes red.

The pass offers views of the Western Tatras, the High Tatras, the Low Tatras, and the Beskids. The pass is the intersection of the Polish red hiking trail Pyszniańska Przełęcz – Wołowiec and the Slovak yellow hiking trail Úzka dolina – Kończysty Wierch.
