Region: Bochnia Submontane Region
Bochnia Submontane Region – a geographical mesoregion that is part of the Sandomierz Basin. It is a belt of hills stretching along the edge of the Carpathian Mountains, 260-300 m a.s.l., characterized by a gentle relief and relatively deep cuts into the bed of streams flowing here or local roads, the so-called holwegs. In the northern zone of the Bochnia Submontane Region, there is a belt of high hills in relation to the Vistula Lowland, including Grodzisko (268 m) rising over the Raba bend in Chełm, the upper parts of Moszczenica and Łapczyca, Bochnia, Uzbornia and Gorzków.
