Region: Ciężkowice Foothills

Ciężkowice Foothills – a geographical mesoregion in south-eastern Poland, located between the valleys of Biała in the west and Wisłoka in the east. The ridges of the Foothills, separated by wide depressions, usually run latitudinally.

The foothills are characterized by a foothill landscape, fields, meadows and orchards alternate with mixed forests dominated by fir, pine and oak. Numerous hills are crisscrossed by rivers and streams that flow on quite steep slopes.
The highest elevations of the foothills are Liwocz (562 m), Brzanka (534 m), Ostry Kamień (527 m), Wał (523 m), Kamionka (513 m), Kamińska Góra (508 m), Gilowa Góra (502 m above sea level).
