Kraków – a city in southern Poland on the Vistula River, the second largest city in the country in terms of the number of inhabitants and area, the formal capital of Poland until 1795 and a coronation city and necropolis of Polish kings. There are many priceless monuments in the city, including the most important ones inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List – the Old Town with the Wawel Castle and Kazimierz.
