Tag - Karkulka Mountain
Karkulka – a peak at 909 meters above sea level in the Złote Mountains in the Eastern Sudetes. It is located on the Polish-Czech border. It borders Pasieczna Peak to the northwest and Klonowiec Peak to the south. The western slopes descend steeply to the Biała Lądecka River valley, and the eastern slopes descend to the Stříbrný Stream valley.
The peak is flat with a poorly defined summit. It forms the lateral, northwestern peak of the Smrek Massif, located on the Czech side. It is composed of metamorphic rocks, primarily Gierałtowski gneisses and crystalline schists. Small rock outcrops are found on the summit.
The summit and its slopes are mostly covered with natural mixed forest of the lower montane forest.
The yellow-marked Czech hiking trail Lázně Jeseník – Špičák runs through the peak, along the Polish-Czech border.
The Czech name for the peak is Klínový.
