Tag - Klonowiec Mountain

Klonowiec Mountain – a peak at 962 meters above sea level in the Złote Mountains in the Eastern Sudetes, located on the Polish-Czech border. To the southeast, it borders Smrek Trójkrajny and to the north, Karkulka. The western slopes descend steeply to the Biała Lądecka River valley, and the eastern slopes to the Stříbrný stream valley.

The peak is flat with a weakly defined summit, forming a lateral peak on the northwestern slope of the Smrek Trójkrajny massif. It is composed of metamorphic rocks, primarily Gierałtowski gneisses and crystalline schists. On the slopes of Klonowiec, isolated rocks can be found among the trees. It is mostly covered with natural mixed forest of the lower montane zone, with fragments of spruce forest of the upper montane zone in the summit areas.

The yellow-marked Czech tourist trail Lázně Jeseník – Špičák runs through the peak, along the Polish-Czech border.
