Tag - Kopa Kondracka

Kopa Kondracka – a peak at an altitude of 2005 m a.s.l. in the Western Tatra Mountains. The Polish-Slovak border runs through the peak. It is the easternmost peak in the Czerwone Wierchy Massif. Kopa Kondracka is located in the main ridge of the Western Tatras, from the east through the Pod Kopą Kondrackiej Pass it borders Suchy Wierch Kondracki (1890 m) and from the west through the Małołącka Pass it borders Małołączniak (2096 m). The north-western slopes descend to the Mała Łąka Valley and its upper part – the Wyżnia Świstówka Małołącka, the north-eastern slopes descend to the Bystra Valley and its upper part the Kondratowa Valley and the southern slopes descend to the Cichej Valley (Tichá dolina). From the summit extends the northern ridge of Kopa Kondracka, connecting through the Kondracka Pass with Giewont Mountain.

Kopa Kondracka is made of sedimentary rocks: limestones and dolomites. The top part is covered with a cap of metamorphic rocks and alaskites (at an altitude above 1930 m a.s.l.). The slopes are grassy, ​​with a slight inclination, the top is dome-shaped. Karst phenomena are well developed in the limestones. On the northern slope there is, among others, the Kondracka Cave.

From the summit there is a vast view of the Western Tatras, the High Tatras, the Sącz Beskid Mountains, the Pieniny Mountains, the Gorce Mountains, the Wyspowy Beskid, the Żywiec-Orawa Beskid Mountains and the Low Tatras.
