It is located in the Drabiakówka ridge separating the Kryniczanka valley from the Czarny Potok valley. The pass separates Drabiakówka (892 m a.s.l.) from Góra Krzyżowa (821 m a.s.l.). The eastern slopes descend to Kryniczanka in Krynica-Zdrój and the western slopes descend to Czarny Potok. A small stream flows from the pass in the north-eastern direction, which is a right tributary of the Kryniczanka.
The area of the pass is forested, covered with mixed forest with a predominance of beech and fir. Three tourist trails intersect here: the yellow circular trail around Krynica, the blue Żegiestów – Leluchów tourist trail and the green Wincenty Pol Trail.
