Tag - Małe Szerokie Valley

Małe Szerokie Valley – the upper branch of the Kondratowa Valley in the Western Tatras. The name of the valley comes from the name of the Małe Szerokie plateau located in its upper part, on the southern side of the Kondracka Pass.

A ridge extending from the northern ridge of Kopa Kondracka (referred to as Zdziarchy at the top, Krokiew at the bottom), divides the upper part of this valley into two branches: the Długi Żleb (on the southern side of the ridge) and the Małe Szerokie Valley (on the northern side). The Małe Szerokie Valley approaches the Kondracka Pass from the top, its frame is formed by the slope of Giewont from the southern side, the Kondracka Kopa ridge from the northern side, and descends to the Kondratowa Glade at the bottom. In the steep wall of the Zdziarchy ridge, there is also a recess called Piekło from the side of the Małe Szerokie Valley. From Giewont, gullies descend into this valley: Kurski Żleb, Świński Żleb, Koński Żleb and Krówski Żleb.

The valley is dry, the stream flows down its bottom only after heavy rainfall.
