Tag - Śrubita Glade
Śrubita Glade – a glade in the Żywiec-Kysuce Beskid Mountains in the Wielka Racza Range, stretching around the Śrubita Pass, between the Bugaj and Orło peaks. It covers the area on both the Polish and Slovak sides. In the middle of the Polish side there is a hill – Śrubity Groń with a height of 1032 m a.s.l. Śrubita Glade is a former shepherd’s clearing, on which there were numerous huts. On the Polish side they are gone, and on the Slovak side they have been converted into summer cottages.
To the north, the clearing offers a vast panorama of the Silesian Beskids, the Mały Beskids, the Żywiec-Kysuce Beskids, the Żywiec-Orawa Beskids and the Pewel-Krzeczów Ranges.
Among other things, the clearing is home to a rare and legally protected bellflower, the saw-toothed bellflower.
