Tag - St. Joseph’s Spring

St. Joseph’s Spring – a spring in the Eliaszówka Valley in the Olkusz Upland, part of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It is located in the lower part of the valley at an elevation of 303 meters above sea level and flows from its left slope.

The spring consists of several outflows spanning approximately 50 meters. These are rocky and weathered subslope, terrace, and riverbed springs. The aquifer consists of Lower Carboniferous limestone. The total discharge of the entire spring zone is 10–20 liters per second, and the temperature is 9.8°C. The water mineralization is 440.5 mg/l.

The water flowing from the spring flows into the Eliaszówka Stream (officially called the Czerniówka Stream).
