Tag - Wieprska Pasture

Wieprska Pasture (Wieprzska Pasture) – a vast glade in the Żywiec-Orawska Beskid Mountains, in the Romanka Massif. It is located on its southwestern slopes, at an elevation of approximately 1,000–1,150 meters above sea level.

This former pasture was abandoned in the 1980s due to economic unprofitability. The pasture contains the source of a stream, a right-bank tributary of the Żabniczanka River. Water from this stream provided water for sheep while grazing in this pasture. The pasture is now gradually overgrown with forest.

The pasture offers a wide view of the Lipowski Wierch and Romanka Group, the Moravian-Silesian Beskids, and the Silesian Beskids.

The red-marked Main Beskid Trail runs through the pasture.
