Kobyla Mountain
Kobyla Mountain – a peak at 802 meters above sea level in the Silesian Beskid Mountains. It is located on a side ridge of the Stożek and Czantoria ranges, branching off Stożek Mały and descending to the Vistula River at the mouth of the Dziechcinka Stream. The northwestern slopes descend into the Dziechcinka Stream valley, while the southeastern slopes descend into the Łabajowa Stream valley.
The summit of Kobyla itself is partially forested, but the surrounding ridge is covered with extensive meadows and clearings, offering a wide view of the surrounding Silesian Beskid ranges (including the Barania Góra massif). Traditional wooden shepherds’ cottages and highlander farmsteads remain in these clearings.
No hiking trail leads to the summit; below the summit, on the western side, there is a path marked on the map.
