Tag - Łężec

Łężec – a hill with a height of 411 m a.s.l. in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland in the Silesian Voivodeship, Zawiercie County, between the towns of Morsko and Podlesice. The eastern slopes descend to the town of Lgotka, the southern to the town of Piaseczno, the western to the town of Morsko and the northern to the town of Podlesice.

The peaks and slopes are mostly covered with mixed forest. At the top of the hill are the ruins of the Bąkowiec Castle in Morsko. There are many limestone rocks in Łężec, forming rock groups. These are: the Łężec group stretching from the Castle in Morsko to the north-east, the Popielarki group to the west of the Castle in Morsko, the Gypsum group at the eastern end of the hill, the Łężycki Wall with Dziadowa Skała and the Cave in Dziadowa Skała.
