A characteristic element of the group is a rock opening in the shape of a window. It is located in the Okiennik rock, which is about 35 m high. The window in Okiennik Wielki is a shelter measuring about 7 × 5 meters located under the top of the highest rock, Okiennik.

The following rocks can be distinguished in the Okiennik group: Bliźniacza Baszta, Igła nad Przechodem, Kufa, Muminek, Omszała Baszta, Okiennik, Śląski Filar, Turnia Brata Ziemowita, Widownia, Wschodnia Grańka.

Okiennik Wielki is known primarily as a place for rock climbing. There are 110 climbing routes with very different levels of difficulty from III to VI.7+ on the Kurtyka scale. The climbing walls have western, north-western, northern, north-eastern and south-western exposures. Most routes have permanent belay points installed (rings and rappelling posts), but there are also routes for fans of traditional climbing.
