Tag - Priehyb Pass
Priehyb Pass – a pass with an altitude of 1452 m above sea level in the Little Fatra Mountains in Slovakia. It is located in the main ridge of the Malá Fatra Kriváňská, between the peaks of Malá Kriváň (1671 m) and Stratenec (1513 m). The southern slopes called Pod Kriváňom descend to the highest part of the Sučianska Valley, the northern ones to the Belianska Valley. Right on the western side of the pass, a ridge separates the Belianska Valley from the Kúr Valley in a north-western direction.
The ridge of the pass is narrow. The southern slopes are grassy – these are the remains of an old shepherd’s pasture. A spring is located in them slightly below the pass. The north-eastern slopes are covered with dwarf pine and belong to the Prípor Nature Reserve.
