Tag - Uszczawne Wyżne

Uszczawne Wyżne Mountain – a peak with a height of 1145 m a.s.l. in the Żywiec-Orawa Beskid Mountains. The name Gawory also appears on topographic maps. It is located in a ridge extending north from Pilsko. This ridge separates the Buczynka stream valley from the Sopotnia stream valley. From the north, through a shallow pass, it borders the Malorka peak, from the south, through the Buczynka Pass, with the Buczynka peak. The eastern slopes descend quite steeply to the Buczynka Stream valley, the western slopes descend to the Sopotnia Stream valley.

The peak is covered with forest, on the top there is a fragment of the upper montane spruce forest, on the slopes below it passes into the lower montane mixed forest. On the eastern and northern slopes there is Uszczawne Glade, from which there is a view of the Pilsko Massif, Babia Góra, the Mędralowa Range, the Jałowieckie Range and the Mały Beskid Mountains. On the slopes of Uszczawne there are numerous springs feeding the surrounding streams.

Uszczawne Wyżne is located in the Żywiec Landscape Park.
