Hala Miziowa (Miziowa Glade) – a large glade on the northern slope of Pilsko in the Żywiec-Orawa Beskid Mountains. It stretches at an altitude of approx. 1230–1310 m a.s.l. In the past, the glade was intensively grazed, and is now an attractive tourist destination.
Most of the glade covers an extensive flattening of the slope, created as a result of the landslide of rock material and remodeled in the Pleistocene by firn fields or multi-year snow patches. The landslide disturbed the original water relations in this part of the Pilsko slope, creating a wide, drainless bowl. As a result, a large raised peat bog of approx. 100 m in length and over 3 m thick, as well as two smaller ones, was created within the glade.
Hala Miziowa is a large centre of tourism and skiing. Several tourist trails intersect here, including the popular Kazimierz Sosnowski Main Beskid Trail. The first tourist shelter was built in 1930. After a fire in 1953, a temporary shelter of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society was organized in the farm buildings, which operated until 2004. A year earlier, on October 12, 2003, a new brick building of the current shelter was opened. There are numerous T-bar lifts in Hala and its surroundings, which are part of the Pilsko Ski Center in Korbielów.
