Smrk Mountain – the highest peak in the Złote Mountains (Czech: Rychlebské hory), at 1127 meters above sea level, is located in the Czech Republic, a few hundred meters from the border with Poland. It borders Brusek Peak to the west and Kuník Peak to the south. To the north, a long ridge extends, culminating in Stříbrný Vrch, which descends into the Stříbrný Stream valley. To the east, Smrek’s slopes descend steeply into the Dlouhá Valley. To the northwest lies Przełęcz u Trzech Granic (Three Borders Pass), which owes its name to the historic intersection of the borders of Silesia, Moravia, and the Kłodzko Region.
The peak is flat and completely covered with an upper montane spruce forest. Within its territory lies the Malení Highlands, with typical peat bog vegetation, protected as a natural monument, Rašeliniště na Smrku. The 6.7-hectare area protects a unique mountain peat bog with spruce forests on the peat.
There are no hiking trails leading to the summit; a red-marked Czech hiking trail runs nearby.
